Personal injury surveillance: adding value

Our approach is to add value to all that we do. As one of the largest surveillance providers in the UK, we know that every case is different. A “one size fits all” approach cannot work in surveillance: we treat each instruction individually and micro-manage the teams working on the case to achieve optimum results.

Much of our work comes from set panel contracts, but we are well aware that we are only as good as our last surveillance operation. To this end, we frequently undertake additional days of surveillance, free of charge, to ensure consistent levels of quality.

Because we provide specialist accredited training in advanced surveillance, we are able to cherry pick the very best candidates from our courses and offer them employment or a place within our Surveillance Faculty.

This means that our clients benefit from having the best trained and best motivated workforce completing their surveillance instructions. They also benefit from retro-research carried out by our Surveillance Lab, which examines and identifies best practices and problems associated with various operational scenarios.

We seek the highest standards in all areas of our work, so our personal injury administrators, who edit our surveillance videos and process reports, are graduates who bring specialist knowledge of criminology, economics, law and psychology to the process.

Adding value leads to innovation. For example, we recently worked with a major worldwide insurer to create a dedicated website that allows handlers to submit instructions via the internet, attach relevant case information and in turn receive our reports and supporting litigation material. The site also automatically generates management information and key performance indicators for management review.

Additional value-added services include our incident validation service, which allows insurers to set a timely and accurate reserve as soon as they are notified of potentially catastrophic injuries to third parties.

We have also created a Level 3 BTEC (subject to approval) in Mechanism of Injury, designed for anyone who is responsible for managing or assessing personal injury claims. We have condensed this training package into a two-hour worskhop, which we deliver free to existing clients’ claims departments.
